Global Engineers Program at the University of Santiago, Chile Offers Research Internships

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Santiago, Chile (USACH) announces the "Global Engineers" program, an initiative focused on research internships for international undergraduate and graduate students. This is an excellent opportunity for students seeking an immersive experience in research and innovation within a leading environment in Latin America.
With over 100 years of history, USACH's Faculty of Engineering has been a pioneer in contributing to Chile's industrial development. With 14 engineering specialization areas across its undergraduate and graduate programs, research centers, and high-tech laboratories, the faculty aims to create a positive impact on Chilean society and the region.

The research internships last a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 weeks, and can be carried out in the second semester of 2025 or the first semester of 2026. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to research and gain valuable experience in Chile.

Application Process
To apply, students must submit the following documents:

  • Curriculum Vitae (for Ph.D. candidates, the CV must include a personal statement, research objectives, and academic experience).

  • Cover Letter.

  • Academic Transcript (for undergraduate and master’s candidates).

  • Scanned copy of passport or ID card.

Once selected, students will receive guidance for organizing and planning their stay in the country, provided by the Faculty of Engineering’s Office of Mobility and Internationalization. They will also receive an Internship Completion Certificate.
