The Universidad Santo Tomás (UST) in Chile is now accepting applications for free online Spanish courses aimed at international students from partner universities in non-Spanish-speaking countries. This opportunity is intended for those who are not yet proficient in Spanish but have a basic level of English.
Live online classes will be held twice a week from August 11 to December 26, 2025 (dates subject to change). A minimum attendance of 75% is required. Please note that starting September 6, 2025, Chile will move its clocks forward by one hour (to UTC-4) due to daylight saving time.

Interested students must send an email to reinter.mobilidade@furg.br with the subject "Curso de Espanhol Virtual - UST" by July 16, 2025.
The email must include the following documents: a completed Work Plan (template available at this link), a copy of a passport or ID, academic transcript, and a photo.
The selection will be conducted by FURG, which will nominate five main candidates and five alternates, based on academic performance.
