REINTER Announces the 2027-1 On-Campus Academic Exchange Call at Universidad de la Costa (Colombia)

The International Relations Office (REINTER) of the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) announces the selection process for incoming on-campus academic exchange at Universidad de la Costa (CUC), located in Barranquilla, Colombia, for the academic term 2027-1 (February to May 2027).

About the Program

The initiative is aimed at undergraduate students interested in completing an on-campus academic semester at CUC, integrating into an environment of academic excellence and innovation. The exchange allows for the subsequent validation and credit transfer at the home institution through a prior learning agreement.

 

Participation Requirements

  • Be an active undergraduate student;
  • Be enrolled in at least the 3rd semester of undergraduate studies;
  • Have a Grade Point Average (GPA) equal to or greater than 70% of the maximum possible grade;
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the Spanish language.

Financial Conditions

Students from universities that have a bilateral agreement or shared academic networks with CUC (such as mobility networks and partner programs) are exempt from tuition fees at the host institution. Students without an agreement may apply via the "Free Mover" modality.

 

Applications and Documentation

Applications must be submitted by filling out the online form and uploading the required academic and personal documents in a single PDF file (including an institutional nomination letter, academic transcript, résumé/CV, motivation letter, medical certificate, and a copy of an identity document or passport).

 

Main Schedule

- Application deadline: October 30, 2026.
- Announcement of results by CUC: By November 13, 2026.
