The Office of International Relations (REINTER) at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) announces the opening of applications for undergraduate and graduate degree programs at Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU), in China, for the 2027 academic year.

Graduate Programs (Master's and Ph.D.)

SHOU offers full and partial scholarships for English-taught graduate degree programs in marine sciences, aquatic resources, and STEM fields:

  • Ph.D.: 4-year duration (age limit: up to 35 years old).
  • Master's: 3-year duration (age limit: up to 30 years old).

Scholarship Categories Offered by SHOU

Eligible candidates may apply for the following scholarship schemes funded by the Chinese government and the university:

  • Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC): Fully funded (tuition, accommodation, medical insurance, and monthly living allowance).
  • Shanghai Government Scholarship (SGS): Fully or partially funded.
  • SHOU President’s Scholarship (SHOU-PS): University-sponsored scholarships covering full or partial tuition and fees.
