FURG signs trinational agreement to implement Postgraduate Program in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence

The Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) has renewed, together with Universidad Tecnológica (UTEC) of Uruguay and Universidad Nacional de Rafaela (UNRaf) of Argentina, the specific agreement that enables the Lato Sensu Postgraduate Program in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.

Officialized on November 28, the new version of the agreement continues a previous partnership that was originally binational between FURG and UTEC. The initiative now includes the participation of UNRaf in order to strengthen academic, scientific, and technological cooperation among the three countries.

The initiative arises from the activities of the Bioma Pampa Network and aims to expand specialized training in strategic areas such as robotics, artificial intelligence, and related fields. Each institution contributes infrastructure, teaching staff, and specific technical expertise for the operation of the program, while also promoting knowledge exchange and integration among professors and students in the region.

With an initial duration of two years, the agreement maintains the joint offering of the program, ensures the continuity of integrated academic activities, and strengthens trilateral cooperation through the development of study plans, tutoring, technical support, and teaching, research, and extension initiatives related to robotics and artificial intelligence. The agreement also expands possibilities for collaboratively creating new postgraduate programs among the three institutions.
