FURG signs cooperation agreement with INTI International University in Malaysia

The Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) has taken another strategic step in consolidating its presence in the international academic landscape by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with INTI International University, a higher education institution located in Malaysia and recognized for its strong engagement in global networks of education and innovation.

Located in the city of Nilai, INTI International University stands out for its internationalization-oriented educational model, with programs developed in partnership with universities from various countries, reinforcing the potential of the newly established collaboration with FURG. The agreement marks the creation of a channel for the exchange of knowledge, academic experiences, and joint scientific development.

The Memorandum of Understanding establishes a broad framework for cooperation between the two universities, including initiatives such as academic mobility for undergraduate and graduate students, visiting professor programs, and researcher exchanges. In addition, the agreement provides for the development of collaborative research projects, joint scientific publications, and the exchange of academic and teaching materials.

Another highlight of the partnership is the possibility of jointly organizing academic activities such as short courses, seminars, workshops, training sessions, conferences, and international symposia. These actions aim not only to strengthen participants’ academic training but also to promote intercultural dialogue and the development of international collaboration networks.
