Between June 30 and July 1, the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), represented by Rector Suzane Gonçalves, participated in the Council of Rectors of the Montevideo Group Association of Universities (AUGM), held at the Universidad de la República (Udelar), in Montevideo, Uruguay. During the visit, FURG signed a Cooperation Agreement with the General Directorate of Technical Professional Education (DGETP - UTU) of Uruguay.
Rector Suzane Gonçalves’s agenda in Montevideo included the International Seminar “University, Society, and State” and the Council of Rectors’ meetings. These gatherings provided a platform to discuss the role of public universities in Latin America, the challenges of internationalization, academic mobility, and the promotion of scientific progress.
