FURG Participates in the Meeting of Delegate Advisors of AUGM

Last Thursday (24), the Secretary for International Relations of the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), Dariano Krummenauer, and the Rector Suzane Gonçalves participated in the Meeting of Delegate Advisors of the Montevideo Group Association of Universities (AUGM). The event was held in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, at the Federal University for Latin American Integration (UNILA), which also celebrated its 15th anniversary as the host university.

This annual meeting brings together representatives appointed by the rectors of AUGM member universities, with the aim of monitoring and preparing the network’s strategic actions. The group serves as an advisory body to the AUGM Council of Rectors, contributing to the implementation of decisions and planning of future initiatives.

Secretary Krummenauer emphasized the importance of FURG’s participation, noting that this is one of the university’s main international cooperation spaces. He explained that the meeting plays a crucial role in shaping the association’s decisions, particularly regarding academic cooperation calls. “This meeting is essential because it determines AUGM’s calls for cooperation,” he said. According to him, FURG’s presence at such events “proves and strengthens our internationalization program, which has been growing in recent years.”
