FURG and UTEC renew commitment to academic cooperation in new agreement

The Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG) and the Technological University (UTEC), Uruguay, have signed a new academic, scientific, technological, and cultural cooperation agreement, strengthening the ties between the two institutions. The agreement, valid for five years, renews the commitment of both universities to strengthening their joint operations.

The partnership between the universities is not recent: in 2019, the institutions had already signed a Framework Agreement and a Specific Agreement for the joint implementation of the Postgraduate Program in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, which now also includes the participation of the National University of Rafaela (UNRaf), Argentina.

The new agreement aims to deepen integration in areas such as the exchange of students, faculty members, and researchers, collaboration in teaching, research, and innovation projects, as well as the development of joint programs that may lead to dual degrees. The areas of cooperation are broad, covering all fields of knowledge of mutual interest.

With this renewal, FURG and UTEC reaffirm their commitment to strengthening international cooperation and promoting joint advances in education, research, and technological innovation.
