Brazil opens call for startups to participate in the Innovation Leaders Summit 2025 in Tokyo

The Embassy of Brazil in Tokyo has announced the opening of applications for the selection process for Brazilian startups interested in participating in the Innovation Leaders Summit 2025 (ILS), the largest open innovation matchmaking event in Asia. The initiative is part of the Innovation Diplomacy Program (PDI), promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and aims to promote the Brazilian innovation ecosystem internationally.
Up to 7 Brazilian startups will be selected, focusing on building business partnerships with major Japanese companies and/or investors. The selected companies will have their basic registration fee covered by the Brazilian government, granting access to the online matchmaking system with leading Japanese corporations and venture capital and corporate venture funds. The basic package also includes the option of attending the event in person, although all other logistical costs must be covered by the companies themselves.

The 2025 edition will take place in a hybrid format: online sessions from November 19 to 27 and December 8 to 17, and in-person sessions in Tokyo from December 1 to 5.
Applications are open from August 1 to 29, 2025, via the link: https://forms.gle/u1PXMmxs2THyKnZU9. The full regulation is available at the same address, and the results will be published on September 4.
More information is available at the official ILS website: https://ils.tokyo. The Embassy of Brazil in Tokyo, through its Science, Technology and Innovation Section (SECTEC), is available for any inquiries and encourages all interested Brazilian startups to apply.
