The European Biodiversity Partnership (Biodiversa+) announced on Tuesday (September 9) the launch of the joint transnational call Biodiversa+ (BiodivConnect) 2025-2026, within the European research and innovation program Horizon Europe. The central theme of this edition is “Restoring ecosystem functioning, integrity and connectivity”.
The initiative will fund interdisciplinary and transnational research projects aimed at restoring functional ecosystems and enhancing their integrity, connectivity, and resilience. Submitted projects must integrate ecological, social, cultural, and political perspectives, as well as involve relevant stakeholders.
In Brazil, the call is supported by the National Council of State Funding Agencies (CONFAP). Approved collaborative research projects will be financed by the State Funding Agencies (FAPs) participating in the call.
