The International Relations Office (REINTER) informs that applications are open from December 1 to 14, 2025, for the selection of FURG representatives in the Permanent Committees, Academic Committees, Disciplinary Núcleos, and Chairs of the Montevideo Group of Universities Association (AUGM), in accordance with Normative Instruction REINTER/FURG No. 8/2025.

Eligible applicants include tenured faculty members holding a PhD degree and administrative staff in education holding a master’s degree, provided they meet the established requirements, including at least three years of proven experience in the relevant field and the submission of a work plan. Candidates must attach the required documentation: an updated Lattes CV, proof of employment with FURG, proof of the required degree, evidence of the minimum experience, and a proposed work plan.

Normative Instruction No. 8/2025, published in August of this year, regulates the participation of the FURG academic community in AUGM regional integration spaces, which include strategic areas such as science, technology and innovation, graduate studies, university extension, communication, and artistic and cultural production. The document establishes selection criteria, guidelines for the performance of the roles, and institutional support from REINTER for the selected representatives.

FURG’s participation in AUGM groups, commissions, and chairs is strategic for expanding regional academic cooperation, strengthening internationalization, and ensuring the university’s presence in joint initiatives among Latin American institutions.
